As the second Session of the intergovernmental Negotiating Committee on plastic pollution (INC-2) kicks off today, May 29th 2023 in Paris. Jessica Bwali had a discussion with Jack Wakefield, Senior Campaigner - Plastic Pollution for Tearfund who shared about the Rubbish Campaign Tearfund is currently running and he shared about what he hopes the outcomes will be at the INC-2.
The INC-2 is working towards developing an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution, including the marine environment with the ambition to complete the negotiations by end of 2024.
